Evaluation of Blog Experience

Hello my dear bloggers! This will be the last post that I will make in this blog and the topic to be discussed will be my experience writing in this blog.

I learned a lot writing here and I also had fun. In general, the experience was very didactic and I will keep this blog forever to show it to my sons and daughters, and maybe I will show it to my grandsons and granddaughters too.

Obviously, I feel that I am writing in English better than I wrote before this course, but I also feel that I can improve a lot more. The desire to outdo yourself is essential to success.

In the future, I would like to include more free topics, so that the students can write more happily in this blog.

The topics I would like to write about are:

-My favorite sport and passion of all my life, soccer.
-More experiences from childhood and school.
-Desires and expectations for the future related to journalism. If we prefer the written press, the radio or the television. Where we see ourselves working in the future.
-Existential themes, students' opinions on life, their dreams and fears.

Thanks for reading my posts. Bye!

The Secret Friend

Hello my dear bloggers! Last christmas was the first time in my life that we made the custom of the secret friend in my family. Before, we simply gave each other gifts.

In this new experience, thirteen members of my family participated: My two maternal grandparents Sergio and María; my two aunts Margarita and Alejandra; my uncle Carlos, my four cousins Roberto, Gonzalo, Noah and Javiera, my father Francisco, my mother Marcela, my brother Enzo and me.

I gave him a bathing suit to my grandfather Sergio and the gift that I received was a T-shirt of my favorite musical band Nirvana. My aunt Margarita gave me this shirt.

Why did I know who gave me the Nirvana T-shirt and why did my grandfather know that I was who gave him his gift? Easy. As it was the first time that we did this, it was all a funny confusion.

If we repeat the secret friend for next Christmas, maybe this time everything will be more organizated and we will use this first time as learning. Although the confusion made that everyone laugh and we had a very pleasant time.

Reportage Workshop

Hi bloggers! Today I'm going to talk about my favorite subject of my fourth semester in journalism. This subject is Reportage Workshop and my teacher is the great journalist Tania Tamayo.

Reportage Workshop is my favorite subject because I have learned more about the journalistic work making extensive reports and important interviews. My first report was about the new migration law in Chile, theme that has acquired more relevance in the last time.

At this moment I am working on a new reportage about the women's soccer team Audax Italiano, where my cousin is the coach. This theme is important because two of the players of the team are leaders at the same time. This happens because the institution Audax Italiano stopped financing the team in January of this year.

I want to mention the person behind this learning: my teacher Tania Tamayo. She has published important investigative journalism books such as "Caso Bombas" and "Incendio en la Torre 5". Tamayo is one of the best teachers I have had in my life and I am very grateful to her.

Juan Cristóbal Guarello, a journalist that I admire

Juan Cristóbal Guarello is a Chilean sports journalist and writer, National Prize for Sports Journalism 2011 and someone recognized among his colleagues and the general public for his exhaustive dedication to what he does and his commitment to the truth.

Guarello is currently the director of the sports magazine El Gráfico, sports commentator on Canal 13 and ADN Radio Chile, as well as a columnist for Diario As Chile. The journalist has a section in the central news of Canal 13 called "Digan la verdad", where he looks like an opinion leader, reporting and denouncing irregularities, such as the scandal of Sergio Jadue's departure from the presidency of the National Association Of Professional Football.

In co-authoring with Luis Urrutia, Juan Cristóbal has published several soccer books, such as "Anecdotario del fútbol chileno", "Historias secretas del fútbol chileno" e "Historia de la clasificación a Sudáfrica 2010". He also incurred in the fiction with the publication of the novel "Gente mala" in the year 2014.

I admire this journalist for his dedication in his journalistic work, and above all, for his great knowledge in football, where I consider him an eminence. Being recognized follower of Colo Colo, Guarello has no problem in criticizing hard to the white team when he considers it convenient. Not everyone likes Guarello because of his complicated personality, but almost everyone recognizes him as an excellent professional.

The Soundtrack of my life

Relating music to different stages of my life generates a strange mixture of rock, metal and grunge on the one hand, popular trova and romantic music on the other hand, and when it comes to dancing, cumbia is the number one.

My adolescence had a brief taste for reggaeton and cumbia, leaving aside the first, but never the second. Over time, it was the rock of Soda Stereo or Guns N'Roses, the metal of System of a Down or Korn, and, above all, the grunge of Nirvana and Pearl Jam the music that captivated me.

Associated with my political tendency, there was always a space in my heart for the great Silvio Rodriguez, as well as for one of my favorite bands, Ska-p. Here, it is fair to mention the best Chilean band of all time, Los Prisioneros.

The loves and dislikes of my life have brought with them the taste for bands like Bon Jovi or Coldplay, Sin Bandera or Mana.

With a special mention for the national funk of Chancho en Piedra and Los Tetas, I want to close this post with the cumbia bands that always close the events where they play, I mean the magic trident Chico Trujillo, Villa Cariño and Santa Feria.

My favorite song of each genre:

We are the Champions, my friend

It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words and this photo is a reliable example of that saying. This photo was taken on Tuesday, November 8th of this year, at approximately 3 o'clock in the afternoon, after I made the goal that gave us the definitive 4-3 and we emerged champions of the "King's Cup", a tournament of soccer played in the Institute of Communication and Image, where I study journalism.

This photo I really like because my happiness is appreciated and that of my colleagues in a cathartic moment. In it you can see my partner Sebastian Bordoy getting up to celebrate the decisive goal. Another colleague, Gustavo Soto, comes to hug me, while my friend Nicolás Reyes was doing the same thing. The photo also shows my attack partner, Diego Ortiz, with a notorious happiness on his face, pointing at me with both hands. Behind, the team goalkeeper and my friend Michael Lieberherr also makes gestures with his arms. The team is called "Magic Space Forces" and we won every game of the championship.

"You broke my heart, Fredo"

Hello dear bloggers, today I come to talk about cinema, topic that I am passionate about and whose topic to discuss will be my favorite scene in the history of the seventh art.

If you have seen Francis Ford Coppola's grand and unparalleled trilogy of "The Godfather" you immediately recognized this remarkable scene. But if you have not seen it, apart from recommending that you do it immediately, I will explain what this kiss between brothers is about.

Michael Corleone, represented by Al Pacino, is the boss of the family in this second part of the trilogy. He discovered that his brother Fredo had betrayed him, which is unforgivable and a deadly sin in the rigorous Italian family.

At a New Year's Eve party in Cuba, Michael kisses his brother and says "You broke my heart, Fredo" shortly before the Revolution broke out.
